What is Nutrition?

3. Fats: Found in oils, butter, almonds, and avocados, fats are essential for energy production, cellular activity, and the absorption of nutrients.

4. Vitamins: Found in fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, vitamins are necessary for several body processes.

5. Minerals: Found in meats, grains, seafood, milk, and vegetables, minerals are essential for healthy bones, muscles, and general well-being.

6. Water: An essential component of all living processes, water aids in nutrition absorption, digestion, and transportation.

Conversely, nutrients are the particular compounds found in food that supply the energy and raw materials needed for these functions.
